1. Guide to Setting Up a Validator Full Node on Walchain
Step 1οΈβ£: Prepare the Server
Set up a server with Ubuntu 20.04 or Debian 11 operating system.
Ensure a stable network connection with a minimum speed of 100bps.
Update the system and install necessary tools:
Step 2οΈβ£: Install the Validator Software
Clone the WAL Full Node repository:
Start the WAL Node and synchronize blockchain data:
Synchronization may take several hours to a full day, depending on network speed.
Step 3οΈβ£: Activate the Validator & Stake SPL Tokens
To activate the Validator, stake a minimum of 50,000 SPL Tokens using the command:
Check staking status:
π Note: If the Validator remains inactive for an extended period (>24 hours offline), a slashing penalty will apply, resulting in a loss of part of the SPL stake.
Step 4οΈβ£: Monitor & Secure the Validator Node
Enable a firewall to protect against DDoS attacks:
Use Prometheus & Grafana to monitor node performance:
Set up downtime alerts to avoid penalties for inactivity.
2. Validator Rewards & Transaction Fee Mechanism
2.1. Transaction Fees
Validators receive 80% of transaction fees on the Walchain network for their role in transaction verification and ZK-Rollup proof generation.
The remaining 20% is allocated to the SuperWAL ecosystem development fund (including token burns to control supply).
2.2. Staking Rewards
Each Validator earns SPL Tokens based on the staked SPL amount and the volume of validated transactions.
Annual Percentage Yield (APY) can reach 10-15%, depending on network activity and the number of participating Validators.
2.3. Slashing Penalty System
Offline for more than 24 hours: 10% of the SPL stake is deducted as a penalty.
Fraudulent transaction validation: Full SPL stake is forfeited, and the Validator is removed from the network. π How to Avoid Penalties:
Monitor uptime to ensure over 99% availability.
Regularly update software for network compatibility.
Secure the node with firewalls and hardware authentication (e.g., cold wallets).
3. Validator Integration with the SuperWAL Ecosystem
3.1. Validators in DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi
Protect smart contracts (using Walchainβs custom environment) for DeFi applications.
Ensure security for NFT, GameFi, and SocialFi transactions on the SuperWAL platform.
Play a key role in the Multi-chain Asset Bridge, verifying cross-chain transactions with Ethereum, BSC, Solana, and Polygon.
3.2. Integration with ZK-Rollup at Layer 1
Validators verify compressed transaction batches using ZK-Rollup directly at Layer 1, eliminating the need for a separate Layer 2.
Help reduce transaction costs (near zero) and boost processing speed (tens of thousands of TPS) on SuperWAL.
Summary
π Validator Full Nodes are the backbone of the SuperWAL ecosystem, securing the network, validating transactions, and providing decentralized services. π° Becoming a Validator offers long-term income through transaction fees and staking rewards. π₯ This is an early opportunity to join as a Validator on an advanced Layer 1 blockchain network! π Last Updated: 2025/3/01
